On the end of the August Ellen J. Brager wrote me that her 11 years old daughter wants to take rock climbing lessons.
After a short while we started our trainings and the group got larger. Carolina Brager, Kai Putney, Artavazd Ardhaldjian and Mark Papazian are Up The Rocks' students now! By the schedule, one training per week, I did not expect much for this season. Tying knots, top-roping, belaying.. That’s what I thought is enough for the good success for the first term.
But guess how motivated these accelerates are! They are leading on easy sport already. If we would have one more month of a good weather I believe they would have a chance to lead easy trads as well ;)

The winter of 2015 in Armenia is again not that cold for ice climbing, but we bought the short gap.
It is hard to stop going to Indian Creek and Yosemite once you have experienced that already. There are so many climbs to do and the local climbing culture itself makes you feel like you will be missing something if not to go these places even once in a season.
Right a year ago "Norwegian Agency of YIA", by the efforts of Per Erling Tilset Larsen and Eirik Skar, took our team to Flatanger, Norway to the amazing event.
“To the south and back" is a 30 meters traverse bouldering problem, with a bit overhanging relief and a lot of pockets.
In the night of Oct 24 we met with Vladimir Belousov in Zvartnots airport, Yerevan.
On the beginning of August, 2007 our Armenian friends from Iran Sourik Stepanian and Araik Jahanian came to Yerevan to set off for Georgia, to climb up Mt Kazbek (5033m) with ‘Spitak’ rescue team members.
A great pleasure and fun is to ski with a good friend Alexey Shustrov, who investigated so much to promote ski touring in Armenia.
When two guys, who had never met before and don’t know much about each other (besides couple of g-mails) immediately set of to climb a serious mountain from the meeting place – they call it “nonsense” in mountaineering, you will agree!
