Early chilly morning on Sunday, November 22 we started our training.

Me, Luca and Tatevik headed to the usual training spot – bouldering section underneath “Spitak” rescue center. Afterwards, on the way to Spitak, the guys at the center told me that Alexy is coming with our friend Antuan. I couldn’t miss a meeting with long waited guest, so stayed for the second climbing session.

Alexey Trubechev from Russia, with the support of “Wishup Adventures” tour agency had set-up the first  13 number of sport climbing routes in Armenia, in Noravanq and Hell’s canyons. Particularly, he contributed to correct and intelligent set-up of those routes. The hardest of these are “Nzhdeh” and “Karich”, which are estimated to be 7a. The number of routes is expected to increase and Alexey expressed his ultimate desire to collaborate in this effort and raise the bars for harder routes.

Here is Alexey’s website if you wish to find more information about his activity and trips to Armenia www.alexclimb.com
