“To the south and back" is a 30 meters traverse bouldering problem, with a bit overhanging relief and a lot of pockets.
I estimated the route V4, but it could be V5 at ease. The way “South” is a comparatively easy half way, it goes abut 1-2m high horizontal line of the rock. And the way back goes through the upper part of the rock and has more pockets for 1 or 2 fingers. The route is very nice for a good warming up.
Location is the bouldering section in the Hrazdan gorge, in the territory of "Spitak" rescue center, Yerevan.

Massimo Cappuccio, a photographer, traveler and dreamer, visited Armenia this time.

Ok, now I’m happy with a sustainable climbing partner Jared Nielson, a Big Wall climber from California.
This time we went to climb the route "Soyuz", a 4-pitch route in Noravank (Gnishik).
Third year in a row traveling to the American West from the other side of the world for rock climbing, expectations and the outcome.
One of the best seasons in terms of snow abundance and stability during the past decade in Armenia. Although without ski-touring tourists this winter, we made it quite fun anyway!

Winter 2016/17 was a season for joy and exploration of new ski touring areas and tracks in Armenia and Georgia.

On March 17-24, the program of heli-skiing in Armenia runs with sunny weather and good snow.

With an aim to explore a new Ski-tour route for Geographic Travel Club Andranik Miribyan, John Clinton and me set off to the village Aragats.
