2 FAs at the Climbing Festival starting event!

On July 1, club Up The Rocks kicked off the “Arev” Armenian First Ascent Open Festival. The guest participants at that point where from Iran (5 climbers) and Russia (Vadik Sirekanyan).

 Festival team moved to the 25m basalt rocks (1,5 km to the north-east of Davidashen bridge) Hrazdan gorge, Yerevan.

Hossein Roshanmanesh and Mostafa Saghaf did FA of “Qazvin firefighters” free climbed, 40m, R1 - 5.10a(20m, 7 small cams, 3 pitons, natural anchor), R2 – 5.10d(20m, 6 small size cams, 1 piton, 2 natural protection,  natural anchor).

Vadik Sirekanyan from Miass Russia did the FA of the boulder problem “Blood test” V6, 13 hand moves. It's pity we couldn’t take photos in the dark. The crux part is overhanging relief with fingertip pockets for both hands and bad footholds on the friction, and then you need to dyno up.

Tomorrow at noon the climbers will move to the Noravank canyon for a 10 days climbing.
