The Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia gave an official permit to the club Up The Rocks to climb on the natural monuments  "Stone Symphony" during the Armenian First Ascent Festival 2009.

The basalt columns of Garni and Arpa gorges are strongly protected by the Ministry since this year those have been included in the list of the Natural Monuments of the Republic of Armenia.

The only way is accepted to climb is Clean Climbing - no pitons except for the rappel anchors.
